Its use in combination with photovoltaics is particularly sustainable. Thanks to its eBUS interface, the eloBLOCK can also be integrated into existing heating systems.

A notice:

The weather-compensated controller VRC 700 or VRC 720 must be ordered separately if the eloBLOCK is used as a heating unit only.
When combining an eloBLOCK with a heat generator, a VR 32B module is required.

Installation instructions:

Devices with a 230V connection are supplied with either a Schuko plug or a hardwired connection (without a plug), depending on their power rating. In the case of a hardwired connection, a qualified electrician must be commissioned to carry out the installation.

For devices with a connection rating of 400V, a high-voltage connection (three-phase alternating connection) is necessary; installation may only be carried out by a registered specialist company, and the approval of the respective network operator must be obtained before initial installation.

For devices with a rated output exceeding 12 kW, you require the approval of your network operator. Please contact your network operator or an installation company listed in their installer directory for installation. This installation company will also assist you in obtaining the necessary approval from the respective network operator.

Note regarding stationary electric individual room heaters:

In accordance with EU Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC, Regulation 2015/1188 was issued, establishing requirements for the environmentally sound design of local space heaters. The installation and commissioning of electric local space heaters is only permitted in combination with an external room temperature control system that fulfills the following functions:

• Weekday schedule
• Window-open detection and/or adaptive control of the heating start.
